Sisters, Spending, and Summer

I’ve been quite bored lately. I considered writing here last night, then I decided to save it for today. This morning, I woke up and thought I might be able to squeeze it in, but I’m glad I didn’t considering I got about 15 seconds on the computer before I had to go to worship practice and play my bass. So here it is now. This is my entry of all entries. Well, not really, but we’ll pretend it is.

I found out on the way home from church today that my sister reads my blog. She made a random comment about the term “phone tag,” and then I knew my worst nightmares had come true. My family had broken through my big wall I built, clearly labelled “Privacy.” I tried to tell her how awkward it was, but she didn’t seem to understand. She told me that it saves me having to talk to her – she can just read about my life instead. I would consider that a fair trade-off, but now I’m going to have to watch what I say. So from now on, all my entries will be about white-out. There’s really nothing to say about it, other than it being white, so all my entries will be blank. However, with this clever trick, I can make sure to never reveal anything personal about myself that can ever be found out by my family.

I actually don’t mind too much that she reads it. She said…Continue Reading

Mall Rats and Bitemarks

Well, I don’t have much time to write today, since things have been a little crazy, but today was fun – for part of the day, anyways. In the morning I had my English exam, which went fairly well I suppose. I sort of ran out of time at the end, with three big essays right at the end that wound up being shorter than I’d have liked. Oh well. I wrote sixteen pages (double-sided, using only one side of the page, just like Mr. G likes it for some strange reason) and had a nice hand cramp afterwards, as well as some nice pen smudges on my hand since I’m left-handed.

Anyways, that wasn’t the fun part. After the exam was done, Steph and I hung out for a few hours. We got into her car, and figured out that we wanted to go to my house so we could both change out of our uniforms, and then headed over to the mall. During the car ride over, I was in the back seat with Steph’s little sister, Katherine. She was beating me up and smacking my hand with my other hand. Yes, she’s pretty strange – just like her big sister, I suppose. We also played “catch” with this blue plastic ball that’s on a string, tied to a hoop thing. I held the hoop up to the roof of the car, and we hit it back and forth. We had a jolly good time. I swear that…Continue Reading

Adventures in the Clothing Department

I really don’t have much to say today. I could go on another rant about females, but I’ve been doing that way too much lately. I mean, I could write an entire book on that topic – maybe even a trilogy – but the fact is that I still fall for them every time. Well, maybe not every time; I don’t go chasing after every girl that comes my way. But the fact is, girls are annoying, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. They get on my nerves, but if they didn’t, my nerves would be incredibly bored and might just get up and leave. That’s definitely not a good thing.

Let’s see here. Yesterday I basically lazied around most of the day. I did a bit of homework, but mostly just played some weird games I found on the Internet. My mom took me out to Wal-Mart and I got a new shirt for today, since I played bass this morning for church, and I’m not allowed to wear t-shirts on stage. So I found a nice shnazzy green button-down, short-sleeved shirt that I really like. It’s really comfortable because it’s nice and light. I can’t really describe what colour of green it is; maybe a forest green or something would be closest. As I look down at my shirt, since I’m wearing it right now, it has sort of a checkered pattern with slightly lighter green lines – but it’s not really obnoxiously checkered or anything.…Continue Reading

Boxing Day Blowout!

I wasn’t planning on posting here today, but since the Tozers are late yet again (what else is new?), I decided to head on down to the computer and engage in my two favourite pastimes: writing and listening to music. I just burned the newest Underoath CD since I’ve been planning to do that for a while now. I wanted to wait to see if I’d get it for Christmas, but I didn’t so I burned it. Jordan got it and last night at my aunt and uncle’s place, the anti-action was heating up, so we went out to the van and listened to the CD a couple times.

Last night was really boring. Everyone just sat their talking and I was starving – my stomach kept growling. Finally we all went for the food, and and it got boring again. Jordan and I went out to the van after the food. The van’s pretty sweet; it’s the van that the Tozers borrowed from one of their friends or co-workers or something for their trip up to Ottawa. They were supposed to pick me up at 10:00 today. It’s now 11:30… I called their house about 11:00 and Bethany said Aunt Lynn and Uncle Dave decided not to sleep at all last night, so then they decided that sleeping in was better than leaving early. So they should be picking me up about 11:45 – so I’ll go upstairs at 12:00 to be ready for them, I suppose.

Anyways, I…Continue Reading

Crazy Christmas Shopping

Well, I’ve got a long day of Christmas shopping ahead of me. Ugh, I hate this time of year as much as I love it.

Now don’t get me wrong; I love Christmas. I just hate Christmas shopping. And it’s not the fact that I have to spend money or that I don’t like getting people presents. I like that. It’s the one time of the year that I actually enjoy spending money without having a guilty conscience, because I know I’m buying it for others (well, except for The Used CD I bought…but whatever). I love the awesome time you can have giving presents to others, and the pleasant satisfaction of knowing you found the right present as the smile sneaks onto their face. That’s just awesome.

No, what I hate about Christmas is the actual act of shopping. It’s one thing to think up the perfect present to get someone. It’s a completely different thing to go out there and get that present. It’s especially bad at this time of year when the malls and stores are packed full of everyone doing their last-minute Christmas shopping. I’ve got to do the rest of mine all today, so I’m going to try and avoid the malls and stuff as much as possible. The busiest store I’ll go into will likely be Wal-mart, just because it’s unavoidable. You have to go to Wal-mart to do your shopping.

I still have to get some presents for my Dad, as well as…Continue Reading
