When I first transferred over to WordPress, I went with the Atahualpa theme. It’s a great theme, with lots of customization options, so I’d highly recommend it. But after a while, even those many options started to get a bit restrictive for me. And since I’ve also been doing some web design on the side, I’ve been working with WordPress themes a little bit and have a better understanding of how they function. So I decided I needed to create my own custom theme, from the ground up.Continue Reading

Today marks the sixth anniversary of my blog. Six years! I can’t believe it’s been that long. Well, in some ways, it feels like I’ve had this thing forever. In Internet years, it’s on the verge of becoming a senior citizen. So before I go further in this post, let’s raise a celebratory glass of any liquid you’ve got handy and toast to a wonderful six years of randomness, irrelevancy, and just a hint of honest sincerity. Truly disjointed thinking if ever I saw it. Here’s to another six years!Continue Reading
Welcome to the new home of Disjointed Thinking!
In my previous post, I mentioned that I had created a new personal website for myself. Because this included buying some webspace of my own, I figured that it was a good idea to move my blog over as well. So, if you’ll notice at the top, the blog has a new web address. If you’ve previously bookmarked it, please update your bookmark to reflect the change.Continue Reading
Ahh, yes. How could I forget? Due to special request, this entry is dedicated entirely to Melissa.
Melissa is nice. The end.
(Take a wild guess at who requested this.)…
I really don’t have much to say today. I could go on another rant about females, but I’ve been doing that way too much lately. I mean, I could write an entire book on that topic – maybe even a trilogy – but the fact is that I still fall for them every time. Well, maybe not every time; I don’t go chasing after every girl that comes my way. But the fact is, girls are annoying, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. They get on my nerves, but if they didn’t, my nerves would be incredibly bored and might just get up and leave. That’s definitely not a good thing.
Let’s see here. Yesterday I basically lazied around most of the day. I did a bit of homework, but mostly just played some weird games I found on the Internet. My mom took me out to Wal-Mart and I got a new shirt for today, since I played bass this morning for church, and I’m not allowed to wear t-shirts on stage. So I found a nice shnazzy green button-down, short-sleeved shirt that I really like. It’s really comfortable because it’s nice and light. I can’t really describe what colour of green it is; maybe a forest green or something would be closest. As I look down at my shirt, since I’m wearing it right now, it has sort of a checkered pattern with slightly lighter green lines – but it’s not really obnoxiously checkered or anything.…Continue Reading
Okay, Jeff here once again (about like 20 minutes later), just wanting to see if anyone actually reads this thing. I’ve been wanting to know if anyone actually stalks me or something. I don’t really care if I have regular readers, but if I do I’m interested in seeing who they are. So if anyone that reads this could just land a comment this way, that’d be awesome. Who knows? I may just give you a prize or something…but don’t count on it.
I also just wanted to put this post in to remind myself to start a new story. I haven’t worked on the old one for about three months now, and I no longer have any desire to finish it. It’s a horribly emo story, and while I had great intentions for it (bringing a guy out from anti-social behaviour and transforming him into a new person), whenever I write it, it just depresses me. It describes an area of my life that used to apply to me, but is now dead. I don’t wish to bring it up again. So as soon as I get a new idea for the thing, I’m starting fresh. When I do so, of course, I’ll post about it so all you regular readers (if there are any) can catch all the action. Needless to say, the new story will be much more interesting than the old one. Hey, all I can say is that at least I didn’t finish off the…Continue Reading
