Weed-Eaters, Roller Coasters, and Purple Penguins

“It’s a beautiful day in the neighbourhood.” That’s the opening line of the theme song from my absolute favourite show – Mr. Roger’s Neighbourhood. Well, okay, it was one of my favourites, and that was back when I was four…or last weekend, whatever. Anyways, it’s been a pretty good day so far, although a bit boring. I was up this morning early once again so I could get out the weed-eater and trim the grass. That’s the last time I get up early for a while, that’s for sure. It’s not too bad, though, since I get to put headphones on and listen to music while I do it.

After doing both front and back lawns, I was pooped. I had a nice shower, and since then I’ve done approximately zero minutes of work. Well, I guess I did walk some – for lunch, I couldn’t find anything good in the fridge, so I walked over to Mario’s Pizza and got some pizza. But that’s about it. I guess I’m going to have to be up early tomorrow as well, though, since it’s Kristy’s birthday party. We’re going to her dad’s boat down somewhere around Long Point and hanging out there for the day. I’m not really looking forward to the whole water thing, since as I’ve mentioned numerous times before, I have an allergic reaction whenever I touch water – or something like that, anyways. I can’t swim, and I don’t want to learn, because I don’t like it anyways. I’d much rather spend a nice day on land – or have a bath, where there’s no possibility of drowning. Anyways, I figure I still get to hang out with people, which is good, so I decided I’d go. Plus, it’s Kristy’s birthday and all. She’s uber cool, and deserves someone just as cool as her at her party. Well, okay, so she’s a freak, and deserves someone just as freaky as her at her party. There we go.

I can’t wait until Tuesday. Wonderland’s coming up fast, and it’s going to be awesome. I saw a commercial yesterday for it as well; apparently they just opened up a new ride based on The Italian Job. You get to ride in Cooper Mini cars on the roller coaster. It should be cool, but it’ll likely be really busy, so we might just skip over it. I’m not really sure. At any rate, it should be fun, if not incredibly hot. Plus, Melissa’s never been there before – hasn’t even been on a roller coaster before – so it should be fun just to see if she likes them or not. That’s pretty much the reason I invited her to come; I mean, everyone has to go to Wonderland at some time in their life, or at least some similar theme park. Jeez. Protected childhood, that’s all I can say (even though my first time was like a couple years ago – whatever).

But anyways, I guess that’s all for now. Some girl added me on MSN, and apparently she lives in a cornfield or something, so I have to get lots of information about her in order to make fun of her properly. She’s got the same name as another girl I was talking to awhile ago, but that one’s really freaky to the point of being scary, talking about purple penguins coming to attack me and such. I think she’s online right now too. Great. Just great.
